Journal - Who is the oldest family member of your family you have ever met? What do you know about your family history? Have your parents ever told you anything thing about your family history? Do you know what kind of heritage you have? Explain as much as you can about your family and any history you have knowledge of.

The oldest person in my family that I have ever met is my great grandfather.  He is 99.  My family history can be traced mostly like back to Ireland.  My family name, "Daugherty", comes from a clan in northwestern section of the Republic of Ireland.  It was originally spelled "O Dochartaigh" but was changed to be easier to spell when my ancestors came to America. The O Dochartaigh clan was forced off of their ancestral lands when the British invaded northern Ireland and many of them moved to America.

Journal - Which web design platform did you choose - Wix or Weebly? What are three things you've learned about Web Design so far?

I chose Wix for my website.  I have learned how to edit the different pages.  Wix makes this very easy to do with a navigation bar template.  Adding pictures is also easy because of the editing tools.  I also learned how to add text to the page.

Journal - What have you learned about making a website? Explain.

I have learned how to edit websites using Wix.  I used a template but I will change it to make it my own.  I know how to change the different pages and add things to the cite.  With this a can make different themes for pages and put pictures on them.  The template came with a navigation bar to make moving around the cite easy.

Journal - What do you know about building and creating a website? Have you ever done it before? List qualities of a well designed and well functioning website.

I have never created a website before.  However, I would guess that an important part of making one is how it looks.  This is important because most people enjoy using websites that creative looking.  Another important part of websites is making sure that it is easy to use.  A confusing website is probably not a good one.

Stop Motion Animation Vote

Grant Daugherty- Racing in chairs in the hallway.  The idea was very clever.  The cameraman was amazing.  It was also very entertaining

Will Munholland- Driving and drifting in his Car.  The drifting was executed well, considering how difficult it was.  The camera angles were interesting.  Once again the cameraman did a great job.

Jalen Fulce- Moving Shoes.  It was the most exciting video.  More went on then in most of the other videos.

Journal - Tell me about two things you've learned while creating you stop-motion animation video. Go in to detail about those two items.

I learned how to use windows movie maker.  I have never used it before and now I think I could easily use it again.  I learned how to change the length of the frames and how to import them.  Now I could make all kinds of videos, not just stop motion animation.  The skills will be useful next time I need video editing software.
